This academic year, Maths continues to be a focus for us at All Hallows. We are moving to the Development Phase of the 'Teaching for Mastering Programme' which is a three year professional development opportunity designed to support teachers in developing best practice maths in school and in implementing a 'teaching for mastery' approach to maths.
Priorities for this year include:
- Improving maths outcomes for all of our children.
- To continue to engage in the Maths Mastery Work Group.
- Enhance the fluency knowledge of key facts for all learners.
- Continue to develop the use of the White Rose scheme of learning throughout school.
- The use of White Rose work books alongside Maths journals.
- Run 'Maths Roadshows' as a way of engaging children and their parents in practical problem solving.
