Our Intent

At All Hallows C of E Primary School, our vision is to enable every child to flourish and live life in all its fullness. Guided by our Christian values, we are committed to developing the whole child so that every pupil grows spiritually, morally, socially and culturally, fulfilling their God-given potential.

We aim to nurture confident, compassionate and reflective individuals who are equipped to make positive choices and contribute to society. Our personal development curriculum supports pupils in building resilience, independence and self-worth, while developing an understanding of how to care for their physical and mental wellbeing.

Through our provision, children learn to value themselves and others, recognise the importance of community and develop a strong moral compass rooted in respect, kindness and responsibility.

Implementation

Personal development is at the heart of life at All Hallows and is woven through all aspects of the curriculum and school experience.

Our approach to Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural (SMSC) development reflects both our Christian foundation and the diverse world in which we live. Pupils are provided with opportunities to reflect on their own beliefs, develop empathy for others and understand their place within a multicultural society.

We ensure that pupils:

• Engage in meaningful opportunities for reflection, prayer and spiritual growth
• Develop strong moral values, making thoughtful and informed choices
• Build positive relationships based on respect, kindness and forgiveness
• Understand and appreciate diversity, showing tolerance and acceptance
• Learn about and actively uphold the fundamental British values of democracy, respect, individual liberty, rule of law and tolerance

Through carefully planned teaching, collective worship, wider curriculum experiences and enrichment activities, pupils are encouraged to relate their learning to real-life situations and understand how they can make a difference in the world.
