We are delighted to have recently introduced OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) at our school. This exciting programme supports our commitment to providing high-quality play opportunities for all children.

OPAL is based on the understanding that play is an essential part of a child’s development. Through high-quality outdoor play, children build confidence, creativity, resilience, and social skills. Our aim is to create a stimulating and inclusive environment where every child can explore, imagine, and thrive.

You may notice changes to our outdoor spaces as we develop a variety of play opportunities using both natural and man-made resources. These changes are designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and independence.

At our school, we believe that playtime should be just as valued as lesson time. By introducing OPAL, we are ensuring that all children have access to rich, engaging play experiences every day.

We are excited to be at the beginning of our OPAL journey and look forward to sharing this development with our whole school community.
