How We Promote Equality at All Hallows

Our Inclusive Curriculum.

We design our curriculum to reflect the diversity of our school, local community and wider world. This includes:

  • Using high‑quality texts that represent a wide range of cultures, families and lived experiences.
  • Providing diverse, rich resources such as picture books, toys, images and artefacts that help children see themselves positively represented and learn about others.
  • Embedding equality, respect and understanding through our P.S.H.E curriculum.
  • Holding Picture News and British Values assemblies to help pupils explore current events, diversity and global issues.
  • Weekly story-time assemblies that celebrate a broad range of authors, characters and perspectives along with our monthly Musician of the Month.
  • A school song. click here
Pupil voice

Pupil voice is central to our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging. We ensure that all pupils are given meaningful opportunities to share their views so that they feel valued, respected and heard. Through structured discussions, surveys and everyday interactions, we listen carefully to pupils’ experiences and perspectives, enabling us to make accurate and informed decisions. This helps us to identify and tackle barriers, strengthen constructive relationships and ensure that our provision remains inclusive and appropriate. On the whole, pupils are encouraged to express themselves confidently, knowing that their contributions are taken seriously and lead to timely, effective action. We are committed to creating a secure environment where every pupil feels a strong sense of belonging and is able to thrive.

A Welcoming and Supportive Environment
  • Our school values are woven through daily life and help us create a safe, respectful and inclusive culture.
  • We encourage all pupils to express their views and contribute through strong pupil voice opportunities.
  • Our behaviour and anti‑bullying approaches ensure all pupils feel safe, respected and supported.
Monitoring and Removing Barriers

We regularly review and analyse:

  • Pupil progress and attainment
  • Attendance patterns
  • Participation in clubs, trips and wider school life

This helps us identify and tackle barriers early so that all children have equal opportunities to succeed.

Our Ongoing Commitment

We are dedicated to ensuring that:

  • Every child is treated fairly and with respect.
  • All pupils feel they belong and can thrive.
  • Differences are celebrated and valued
  • Equality is embedded across policies, practice and the curriculum.
  • Every child is supported to achieve their very best academically, socially and emotionally.

At All Hallows, every child is loved, valued and encouraged to grow in confidence, curiosity and character.

Picture book, mirrors and windows.

We use the concept of “mirrors and windows” to support pupils in developing a strong sense of identity alongside an understanding of the wider world. “Mirrors” ensure that children see themselves, their backgrounds and their experiences positively reflected in what they learn, helping to build confidence and a sense of belonging. “Windows” provide opportunities to explore different cultures, perspectives and ways of life, broadening pupils’ awareness and understanding. Together, this approach encourages respect, empathy and inclusion, ensuring all pupils feel valued while developing into thoughtful, informed members of society.
