Good morning everyone, and I hope that you all managed to have an enjoyable Easter weekend within all of the current restrictions.
I hope that the Easter activities that the class teachers have posted on the class pages are proving to be useful, and I have seen several pictures of some of the things that the children have been up to. Just a reminder that the focused learning will begin again next Monday, and the staff are currently busy getting the resources and online materials ready for this. My thanks go to them for all of their hard work. I have been so impressed with the way that parents/carers have supported the home learning programme, and whilst it cannot replace the physical teaching and learning experience, it is providing reinforcement and challenge.
Although the school office is currently closed, you can still leave a message and we can respond. Alternatively, drop us an email.
The school is still open to the children of critical workers, and my thanks go to the hard working teachers, teaching assistants, midday supervisors and kitchen staff for making this happen during the Easter period. From next Monday, we have reviewed the way in which we organise the provision of staff, to minimise the risk of cross infection. The staff will be working within the same teams on a rota basis.
I know how flexible the current situation is, so if your current role changes, and you qualify as a key worker, please do let us know.
The safety of our children is paramount. The following is a link to a useful information video about children staying safe online. A lot of it you will already be doing, but it serves as a useful reminder. Our diocese has suggested that we send it to you to use as you see fit http://aacoss.org/parents
I hope that this email finds you and your family safe and well. Please pass onto all of the children my best wishes, and tell them that I am missing them, and look forward to getting back to school.
Thank you as ever for your support.
